Callout for Performers
We’re looking for dynamic and enigmatic performers with keen physical theatre prowess, a real interest in innovative theatre making processes as well as a passion for creative access and inclusivity. We aim to find two Yorkshire based performers, diverse in ethnicity, gender and age, with excellent devising skills and keen to tour new work. You should be confident when engaging young people and ideally have experience working with children who have additional needs, are neurodiverse, disabled and/or have complex needs. Some singing and musical ability is advantageous, as is puppetry/object manipulation and basic Makaton, so please make all and any multiskills clear in your application, though none of these are essential.

If you are a disabled performer please get in touch in advance of the auditions to let us know about any access requirements. The audition and rehearsal spaces will be wheelchair accessible.

AUDITION PROCESS AND APPLICATION
The deadline for applications is Monday 16th of September 12pm and we will let you know the outcome by the end of the day Wednesday 18th September. Group auditions will be held on Monday September 23rd at Sheffield Theatres. You will not be expected to prepare or learn anything in advance, but we may send some text, concepts or character profiles for you to look over.

FEES
£600 per week or £175 per day for any additional work outside of full weeks. Auditions, and the R&D will all take place in South Yorkshire and no travel, accommodation or per diems can be covered for these. Callout for a Stage Manager
The Blanket Fort Club is on a mission to find a brilliant freelance Stage Manager to work with us on our R&D this autumn and beyond for our brand new sensory immersive theatre show, touring in 2025. Responsibilities will include:

Creating R&D and production schedules

Procuring props and set dressing and managing props and the set

Coordinating rehearsals, tech rehearsals and the R&D schedule

Helping to keep track of the project budget
-
Managing continuity through notes in rehearsals, R&D and shows
-
Ensuring safety throughout production
Experience in accessible work for younger audiences and children with complex needs and disabilities is advantageous.

You should be based in Yorkshire or be able to base yourself in South Yorkshire for the R&D, rehearsals and first performances. Dates of R&D 21st-25th October, rehearsals in late January 2025 and performances from February 19th onwards (Later dates to be confirmed asap).
Company day rate is £175 a day or £600 a week.
