Engaging and experienced facilitator wanted for Touring Festive Show

The Blanket Fort Club is on the lookout for a South Yorkshire based facilitator to support our mini tour of That Elf Stole my Shoe!, an accessible sensory immersive storytelling and sleuth trail that will be popping up in children's hospitals this December.

Job Description
​
Our very interactive storytelling and sleuth trail, That Elf Stole my Shoe!, is back for December 2025 and we need a dynamic facilitator to help the shoemaker and his pals discover where all his newly made shoes have disappeared to. Perhaps all is not what it seems!
Audience participants will be sleuthing, sneaking, decorating and disco-dancing with the Shoemaker and maybe even some elves and we'll need all the help we can get ensuring everyone can get involved.

Dates of engagement and Fee:
​
30th November (Rehearsal in South Yorkshire)
1st-6th December Tour to children's hospitals in Birmingham and Coventry and to CCP Arts First venue in Derbyshire.
Fee: £650 plus travel to and from location
You must be free for all of these dates.
A DBS on the update service is advantageous as well as two references.

Job Responsibilities
​
-Facilitators, in character as the Shoemaker Apprentice, will:
-Lead on a few activities within the storytelling and trail experience
-Support children less confident to engage and enjoy
-Help maintain the immersive set and props, ensuring children are happy and safe as they journey through the spaces.
-Assist with the get in/get outs
-Assist with storytelling and character interactions during hospital walkarounds.
